Taos Bakes Bars

$4.00

We get it. Sometimes you don’t have time to sit down to eat, or you need a little something extra between meals to get you through the final push of the day, or you want to pack light on your outdoor excursion. None of these should be the reason you’re choking down a flavorless lump of “nutrition”. Sonia discovered Taos Bakes while exploring the Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico. Hungry after climbing 140 feet to Alcove House, she picked up a Taos Bakes bar from the visitors center and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor and texture.

Taos Bakes avoids filler or base formula dependent on rice, soy, or over-processed sugars. They also moved their process away from the industry standard of cold-extrusion, where ingredients are beaten to death then squeezed out of a tube into a lifeless lump. Instead, they carefully hand-mix their ingredients, placing them on pan, baking them for just long enough, and then carefully cutting, packaging, storing, and shipping them. The process takes longer, but when it comes to something that goes in your body, it’s worth it.
